It looks like it would be an interesting read. There is still very little known about the part played by subs and the Argentine Navy during the conflict, at least here in Britain. Apart from the sinking of the Belgrano the press revolved around the initial air battles and then the land war itself.

I think the thing that really came across for me is just how powerful a weapon the nuclear submarine really is. The very thought that one might be in the area can cripple the freedom of action of an entire navy. After the sinking of the Belgrano the Argentine Navy effectively ceased to be a viable force, unable to leave port without massive ASW effort. With great speed, endurance and stealth, the nuclear sub really is an incredible weapon, and very difficult to counter.
