To me the most realistic aspect of Jutland is its rate of attrition which is largely a side effect of the overall handling of ballistics, accuracy, etc. In real life, you'd be hard pressed to find lots of times where an enemy's fleet or even Army suffered greater than 20% casualties on even the worst days. The same applies to ground forces, total annihilation of an enemy is RARE. Most strategy and action games can only see things in a very black/white sense of "enemy is either there or NOT!!!!".

You can lose the war in Jutland even if every one of your ships returns to harbor. What good is your fleet if every ship is a burning, blown out hulk barely floating?
