I would install SP3 mom and dad aren't always right techs or no techs. SP 3 update gfx drivers, disable antivirus/firewall when playing games. And no with firewall down your pc data wont get stolen from some gremlin over the internet.

I have no firewall / antivirus running when im online gaming and done this for years.
