Chinese robot mission lands on the dark side of the moon

Shall nobody claim Chinese tech isn't worth it. I am completely satisfied with my Huawei P9lite and severla Fenix and Nightcore torchlights. :D

In typical Chinese fashion they have stolen the emblem of their space agency from Star Trek, however. :D Think Hollywood should sue them for copyright infringement.

By mistake I ordered a rain-proof thermo trousers via Amazon, did not note that it was delivered directly from China. Cheap - and the best such trouser I ever have had, I am completely happy with it. Same with bicycle gloves I ordered, thermo-featured and rain-proof, perfect for winter (rain gloves for bicycles, that is a long and very sad story...9 out of 10 products are not worth even a fraction of their asking price...) . Perfect. And both costed including shipping just a fraction of what I would have needed to pay in local store or from a German internet offer. Better price, better quality - in for the win.

Next step base on the moon and China's sweat shops will be open making billions for China. :03:

To quote an old joke: they now will paint the moon all red, as an advert for China. So that then some Yank must get up there and write "Coca Cola" on it. :03:

I hope China doesn't bother any aliens up there :D

New theories are based on the fact that the dark side of the moon, which faces away from Earth, has never been explored before, and can’t be seen by normal telescopes.

I suspect they will claim the moon on the dark side as theirs and establish a base with nuke silo's there. :hmmm:

em2nought 01-04-19 03:22 AM

Oh boy, here we go another Taiwan. :03:

Reece 01-04-19 03:23 AM

No, the moon!! :D

It'll take an awful lot of squinting of the eyes to see in the dark.

Platapus 01-05-19 11:07 AM

Congrats to the Chinese. That's quite the accomplishment. They also had to put a communications satellite in lunar orbit in order to relay data. :salute:

Buddahaid 01-05-19 01:20 PM

The farside is in the radio shadow of the earth and is the best place to put a radio telescope array. It even makes a great place for optical telescopes as the lack of atmosphere makes for a clearer and more stable environment than earth orbit. It's about time we get back to lunar development.

Looks pretty bright for the Dark Side of the moon

They must have had some powerful lights on that lander
