mouse sensitivity?

hi all

I have a small question, how to set mouse sensitivity for SHIII? right now getting the periscope on a target is painful and aiming the deck gun is impossible :P a small move from the mouse makes it swing wildly...

I dont want to change my windows mouse sensitivity so is there another way?

I don`t know which mod(s) you use but i press left ctrl.

Left ctrl make a moves slower
left shift make a moves faster

Once again, something new! I love this site :up:

Mind you, if you stand on its tail it will start swinging wildly again :03:

thanks!

heres another small question... how do I make it not go back to speed 1 every time I receive a message? it drives me crazy when searching for ships with my hand constantly on the + to increase speed again. :doh:

Use the options in SH3CMDR.

I believe there is also a fix for this in H.sie's patcher....

Yesterday I bought the game on Steam after seeing some YouTube videos, and was immediately annoyed at how twitchy the camera rotation was, so I did some digging and found a hard-coded floating point constant that can be used to tweak sensitivity. It's located at offset 0x11daa4 in sh3.exe (seems valid for both raw Steam and h.sie patched one), and by default is set to 1/600. Thus for instance changing bytes like this to reduce it to 1/3600 makes all camera rotations with the mouse a lot slower:

Code:

0011DAA4: 0e -> b4
0011DAA5: 74 -> a2
0011DAA6: DA -> 91
0011DAA7: 3a -> 39

Maybe someone can make a more convenient way to do this, but it works for me :)

hello a.g. and wellcome,

it works on my machine too!
but i think that you made it very slow now.
if we want ,for example,...1/1800 what are the values that must be entered ?
