Air ASW aggressiveness

OK, here it is. I'm working on my first Akula mission. I'm setting up the scenario close to the U.S. East Coast, and I want maximum aggressiveness by P-3 and MH-60 OPFOR assets (AI). I know I put them in the air at the start of the mission, but what is the best tactic to assure they are looking for me rather than just flying around blindly wandering?

Once I get this mission editor down pact, I have a few missions to share with you guys. Right now, most of them are broken and need a few fixes. Getting closer to uploading them.

Appreciate any advice.

Sonobuoy search is your best bet, but AI aircraft do a really sucky job at actually laying a buoy pattern. Most of the time, they just fly around. You might want to consider placing buoys on the map already, they do a decent job of monitoring them once they're out (dicass in particular).

Thanks for the tips. I'll run a couple of tests. When placing the DICASS on the map, will the P-3 AI go active on you?

You can use the "attack" script.

Also, you can set a number of sonobuoys in the area, that will be created if a MH-60 or P-3 flies over them, ie "drops" them. If you don't know how to, I'll give some additional advice.

The last, more effective (and in a way cheating) way is to use a script to "enter solution" to the hostile assets with enough uncertainty.
