USS Miami SSN755 (V2) for VS -Demo Version available-

Hi folks.

Here are three pics of my new sub model for Virtual Sailor. Currently i work on three different sub models. The first one is the Texas (90% done). After the release of the Texas, i will release the USS Miami V2. And the last sub is the USS George Washington.

The Los Angeles class is the best looking nuclear attack sub class ever.

Hi

I have updated my model of the USS Miami, with a better texture set and corrected parts of the main model (sail, rudder, ...). The new interior is not finished yet. I will add the interior and the weapons in the next version.

Great ships...but

I finally downloaded these from subdock. They look great in stills, but performance takes a hit. Frame rate drops to a slideshow when going from Spooky's SSBN Ohio to this ship. Any ideas?

That thing is getting better and better

Would be cool to drive it in some good sim. Perhaps you should integrate it into Dr. Sids sim.

Bartolomeus 02-06-09 05:35 AM

Thx! Dr. Sids sim? I do not know about Dr. Sids sim Deamon?

Check the demo and check the forum there. Maybe this is an opportunity for you.

Would be nice to see your nice model in there.

Have you seen the indi project list, I made on this forum ?

let me quote the section in question:

This is a modern submarine simulatior development led by Dr.Sid. This is also a young project but I say watch this guy. This one seems to be definetely promesing. It will probably go open source at some point and there is already a playable pre-alpha version that can be downloaded here:

Thumbs up to Dr.Sid!

Thx Deamon. This is a great project!

yup, definetely worth tracking it and will be surely a more satisfying platform for your models in the near future.

But I am surprized that you didn't knew it. But your post count seems to indicate that you do not read much on the forum.
