Were you on a nuke boat? New low radiation study

I found this rather interesting. Anyone that was a nuke will have the background to understand a big chunk of this.

Title:
Low-dose radiation from A-bombs elongated lifespan and reduced cancer mortality relative to un-irradiated individuals

US Nuke boat crews wear a dosimeter badge on the boat.
The Navy has plenty of info related to low-level exposure if they ever want to share it. :03:

This study looks to be more concerned with the old A bomb tests. Warheads and reactors produce different kinds of contamination and vastly different amounts. I had some valves I was responsible for when I was on watch that were located on the reactor compartment's forward shield. If I was worried about getting contaminated, I'd rather hang out next to those valves than hang out in Las Vegas. :03:

I know all about that. I was on 3 boats and qualified as an RO and EWS (Stonewall Jackson, Permit, Guitarro) and worked at a nuke power plant for 12 years.

This is new info and is different from what the Navy and the nuke power plants had, as they would tell you low doses increased cancer risk. Which is why this is interesting. I'd suggest actually reading it.
