I built this machine runnin on Z-gamer mb, Nvidia video card w/4g of its very own ram, Intel i5-4690k processor and 8g of very fast ram to handle Star Citizen . . kinda loafs along runnin SH4 with all the sliders maxed. -just sayin

My brother is still a daily NASCAR 2003 racer. The other day his group raced Talladega and had 45 participants in the race. They do a "race broadcast" on You Tube at least monthly. Amazing that a 2003 program is still the best NASCAR simulation in existence.

I have the latest NVidia driver and now windows 10 1709. The infamous black screen is now resolved. This is with NVidia 387.92. Nice to have it all working now.

:Kaleun_Thumbs_Up: yep, no need to use old NVIDIA drivers! Nvidia 387.92 Works great. Thanks for reporting this. By the way: The Windows 10 fall creators update also fixed a driver problem on my Samsung Network Color Laser printer.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have putting it together.
For full immersion it needs to be played at 100% or you can cheat a little bit by changing the game play settings to activate the external camera.

Question about Selections

Below we are asked to select only one of the 6 difficulty levels. If Stock/Vanilly is chosen, which I assume is the stock game as provided by Steam or on a DVD, how can mods be added? Or maybe I misunderstand?

Select Only select 1 difficulty level from the 6 below:
1. Stock/Vanilla
2. Webster’s GFO
3. TMOwTw 2.50 = RFB 2.0
4. TMO v2.5
5.Fall Of The Rising Sun Ultimate (FOTRSU)
6. Traveller Mod v2.6 Final for TMO 2.5

TMOwTw 2.50 contains a number of add on mods that are included in the Documentation Folder

Mods are added to the game by installing an application called JSGME.
My SH4 mega mod comes with everything you need.which is a good starting point for any SH4 gamer.

JSGME - Help and Close?

Hello for all your efforts to make this game a flawless experience.

I installed JSGME and when I clicked the Help link I was taken to a dead end page. Do you know where I can find the help page?

Also, After I installed GFO I can either Close the JSGME window or leave it open. Will the MODs still run if I close it?

After a good time searching and reading many posts in diverse forums and investigating and testing myself, I resolve my ethernal problem with Antialiasing via Nvidia Inspector and Windows 10 with the Creator Update.

The problem: I was unable to set any AA after I updated my W10 to Creator and the latest drivers for my Nvidia GC. All the AA settings via Nvidia Inspector weren´t taken by the game. I had horrendous graphics and abandoned to play SH4 FOTRSU and TMO 25.

I solved the problem, and I´m now happily playing SH4.

The solution: Put in Antialiasing Compatility the value 0x004412C1 (Diablo III) (see the image below, second line).
With this setting, Antialiasing max setting compatible with no golf ball sun (4x4 Multisampling), works fine and, with a 1920x1080 resolution, you have great graphics in SH4. :Kaleun_Wink:

I hope this solution works in all the PC with W10 Creator and Nvidia GC with latest update. I have now the latest update, 411.63, and all is working very very well.

After a season in ATO with SH5 TWoS, Now I'm changing flag and going to PTO with FOTRS.

Windows 11 Installation Problems With SH4

Rhodes sent me a PM that I want to share with the community how he got over trying to install SIlent Hunter 4 and getting a black screen.
1. Disable Full Screen Optimization.
2. Run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7.

Following these instructions to the letter will result in the Steam DRM not allowing you to launch your copied version of 4. My Steam directory is on my D:\. What I would recommend would be following the guide to change your Steam Games library and then creating the copy in that library. You can then name the copied folder what ever you wish, use MultiSH4 and be on your way again.
