Rise of Flight coming to Steam
Rise of Flight: Channel Battles Edition
I've just had the following email from 777 Studios - Quote:

I wish I had a rig that could play RoF...
...but I'm pretty happy with DBW 1916 for IL-2. :hmmm: |
What specs have you? It doesn't need much compared to some other flight sims, and the required specs seem to be getting lower every patch.
It's also free* to download (I know, I know, it'll take you a while) with two aircraft to try. When I first got it I was seriously underspecced and it worked ok and there are lots of threads on the RoF fora about specs under and over. You can also drop the resolution down to 800x600 to improve framerate until you get a new(er) PC. *Not the Channel Battles Edition from Steam. |
I've got the 64mb GPU with 4GB RAM and Dual Core 2.30GHz Processor.
I looked at the specs for RoF and I'm underspecced.... :hmmm: |
It's only the GPU that's letting you down.
64MB, damn, my first PC had that over a decade ago, soon swapped it! :o Get on ebay for a cheap 256 MB AGP card. (I'm assuming it's not PCI) |

I'm stuck with this dumb 64. :/\\!! What I don't get is how I can run the first ArmA and IL-2 since I'm underspecced there...also with SH4. :hmmm: |
If we're talking about an actual PC here, you know, not a pretending-to-be laptop (:O:), there should be a slot for a card regardless of what they glued to the board. :hmmm:

Downloading RoF F2P now  |
Red - take the side off your PC, take an in-focus picture and post it here. :yep:
Failing that get the manufacturer's name and model number off it (including revision number if available). Once more, Subsim to the rescue! |

No HDMI port, I have 3 USB, one ethernet, one VGA, a Mic port and a audio jack. There are two removable plates on the back. One is titled Memory and the other HDD. What do you want me to do? :hmmm: @Cybermat47, I don't need Horror. It won't work anyway. I'd rather play DCS and SH5! |
Ah, laptop. Unlucky, sell your laptop and build a proper PC. You'll lose the portability but gain some decent gaming. I know which I'd rather have.
