Difficulty Comparison : SH3 GWX Vs. SH5 TWOS

Long story short: Watched some SH5 gameplay on YT the other day and was reminded how much I enjoyed the many hours I put into SH3 with GWX and am wondering how much I might enjoy SH5 with TWOS.

The issue I have is that I’m utterly useless at plotting interceptions and any torpedo attack that involves anything more skilful than sitting at periscope depth perpendicular to the target’s course and taking potshots.

Does SH5 + TWOS have a “the Skipper’s an idiot mode” that can automate a lot of the tricky tasks or is it harder than SH3 + GWX?

Thanks in advance,

An Idiot At Sea.

You can play TWOS easy way if you want.

Don’t activate real nav mod, and set your difficulties to easy before starting career.

You could play TWOS as easy as GWX IMHO :yep:
Just take time to read everything, and adjust everything...

When i remember SH3, you can activate invulnerable boat and unlimited ammo etc. SH5 don't have that

hmmm ... with Sh3 + NYGM + hsie/stiebler patch... your U-boat is absolutely not invulnerable ... and anyway if you "know how to do it" with SH5 you can have an indestructible U-boat,believe me.
They are 2 completely different games, each with its own merits, and each with its own faults,I think it's complicated to make a comparisons.
there is no "perfect game" or better than ... but there is the one you like best.
:salute:
