[REL] Modified XVIII
 
I recognized that many ppl can't stand the XVIII class from the uboat addon. Playing with the search function I saw that there are not many mods for this
sub and I decided to do some changes;)

You see we got two 105mm deck guns, a snorkel, and a new skin
I know that you don't get O2 while snorting and you can only play one connon, but thats hardcoded in the game:-?

Desc.:
A lil modification for all who don't like this XVIII in the Uboat game.
It convertes the XVIII sub into a XXI sub and adds two 105mm deck guns on deck.
You will also find a snorkel, which is raiseable with a button under the command room main tab.

Install.:
Just copy the 'Modified XVIII for 1.5 by Xantro' into your MOD folder and activate it with JSGME.

Compatiblitily:
Don't use with Ops Monsun and mods which change the HUD


Thanks to Pirate for converting the dark XXI skin (I am sorried I don't know its developer) into Sh4.

Looks nice! I actually like the current XVIII. I've been doing some experimenting as well.

IMO a good n' powerfull electric engine is better:D

Bleh, in mistake i ONCE buffed my XVIII that it went 64 knots underwater, and that was a mistake! Messed around with horsepowers and RPMs ^^'

I am working at a Gun submarine based on the IXB from Sh3 with the VIIC-Flaksub conning tower, but when you are not happy with this after its release I could make this for you

I've installed it, great to have a snorkel for once (Your old release didn't work for me)!

The problem is that I don't have any 105mm guns, the only other mod I have that modifies it is the mod that lets you start a career with the Type 18. Do I need to install that first, then this mod?

EDIT: Can't do that, if you install the modified 18 after the campaign enabler, you can't select it to start a campaign...*Sigh* Is there a way for me to turn it into a hybrid mod that both allows the 18 and modifies it?

:damn: my snorkel mod doesn't work for you and my deck guns too!:rotfl:
please kick the the 'Enable XVIII in campaign mod' , cause I added the same files
(just deleting some semicolons)
You could delete the NSS_Uboat18.sim file in
Sh4/MODS/[This Mod]/Data/Submarine/NSS_Uboat18 and then you enable it again, but you can't have both without having a lot of work renumbering all IDs:lol:

Xantro, may I borrow the deck gun lines and the snorkel, I do need them for my Jyunsen B and had trouble with them...

I posted the badly working 5.3 version of my Jyunsen B with typ 18 interior, can you take a look and see if you can fix the tower's position please?

do not be alarmed as the mod includes the 9dx2 based sub and the typ18 based sub, the 9dx2 works ok, the other not yet.

Finally, I can put my focus on doing this type of mod instead of trying to do multiple mods and going crazy because I don't have time to learn something.

I've already got laser cannons with laser effects and sound that I took from Empire At War. I just need to replace the muzzle flash.
