The Civil War is one of those wars I just could not get into.

Makes it tough to live in Virginia though. :D

Nor I but as of late it has sparked my interest. I live in MD. All of it is so close to home.

This reminds me of the old story about the confusion that came from different accents. When a Union officer interrogated some captured Confederate soldiers he asked how they perceived their cause. The answer was "We're fightin' for our rats!"

I have been playing it for a few months. I didn't expect the Civil War to work as a FPS but it they have done an excellent job of it.

There was a previous thread but it didn't get much traffic.

It appear early access is closed. I did make a pledge and will just wait it out. Thus far it looks very good.

It depends on the "level" you support at. To play in Alpha you have to support at a minimum of the Captain level ($69 USD). The website says they still have 562 keys for that level.

Lower levels of support will get you in at Closed Beta, Open Beta or Release. So you can play now, it just isn't cheap.

Also keep in mind as a game that is still Alpha there are only people really playing at peak times on weekends, and sometime weeknights but not as often. Peak times tend to be based on US Eastern time, although there are many in Europe and elsewhere who play.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip!

I paid up and received the key for alpha. I was only able to play for a few minutes. What I did see looked excellent. Looking forward to new updates and some play time.
