How i get more renown?
 

I found this writen some years before

"Open data\cfg\basic.cfg with Notepad and look for the Renown section. You could for example change ALLIED=1 to ALLIED=10, then you get ten times the renown for any sunken enemy ship or downed aircraft."

I was looking for a solution to get more renown in order to take new subs in 1943 and afterwords... available because i get to little of that in the meanwhile. I am talking about sh3. I am following the path that you gave above but when i am trying to save the changes making use of the notepad i get a message that said file allready exist do you want to change it and i say yes and then i get the answer access denied? Any solution?

Easy: every time you sink a ship, sink 9 more others.
Be more aggressive! :salute:
Or go to PC->Documents folder->SH3->Data->Cfg->Careers->*CareerName
Open Careers.cfg and Careers_0, search line Renown= and modify number you find. :D

II can't find any "career" on my files :( spent hours going through them HELP

Navigate to your DOCUMENT FOLDER on your PC then to SH3 (or whatever your save game folder is called) then to/ Data/ Cfg/ Careers/ (choose your Captain’s Name) then/ Patrol_0.cfg (open this with NOTEPAD) then to/ DELTA RENOWN (this is near the very bottom). Adjust the DELTA RENOWN to whatever you want. Leave the 6 ZEROS to the right of the decimal alone. Example 20000.000000. Everything to the left of the decimal is OK to adjust. Now you can pimp your boat with everything that’s available, up to that particular date of your patrol.
