Sextant mechanics

This is a really strange problem

Trying to use the sextant in WOS mod ,, I have a good grasp of cel nav in real life and would really like to try it in game ,

have enabled sextant but cant seem to get an altitude higher than 3 degrees and 41 mins ,,,,, cant figure what I am not doing or why it wont move higher than that
there is some vertical movement but this is only a few degrees up and down
not nearly enough to take an actual reading

everything else is running fine as in running really well,,, no problems at all so don't think its an install issue

anyone got any thoughts ?

Have done some testing and found the following

have noticed that the sextant behaves like the UZO as in full 360 azimuth but only about 3 degrees vertical

when I press T to teleport it shows the UZO in yellow which I take to mean I am currently at the UZO which I am not as I have enabled the sextant

is this what you would see when trying to use the sextant ?

I believe the sim is confusing the UZO with the sextant which is why I am unable to take any observations

does anyone with a good knowledge of WOS suggest a tweak I can make in the options file editor ?
am I on the right track to fix this or am I wrong and will it need a complete reinstall ?

It seems that you didn't activate Generic Patcher and containing Sextant patches properly...

Hello, i have the same problem. When I click on sextant button, it turns on the UZO. Could you solve it?
