Gamespy finally kicked the bucket?
Let's see what the meter sais... http://i1-win.softpedia-static.com/s...re-Meter_1.png Nope....stil nothing. Never liked gamespy, hated their 3th party online service in order to play games online which back in the day if you where foolish enough to download the actual gamespy client and installed into your computer which was uterly useless and just hogged your system. (Yes, I never liked 3th party services in order to play games online as in some cases it removes the essential (imo) Direct IP/Connect by IP in games which is still the best way to play games online which can be problematic if the game's only way to play online (a third party service) is pulled offline and it's not been taken over by gameranger for example.) Yeah I never did like GameSpy either. I didn't use it much...but I heard some bad reviews about it and I just didn't like that entire idea.
Steam I only use because it's one of the only ways to get some computer games....and heck...Team Fortress 2 was free. :D |
I still remember gamespy from Civilization 3: Play the world
That thing never crashed on my once during a game! Take that! Steam, Origin, Uplay, and all your crashing when I'm about to win! But now, my gaming site of choice is Gamespot, their original shows are simply the best of any gaming site. I especially like Escape from Mount stupid: http://www.gamespot.com/shows/escape-from-mount-stupid/ |

I haven't played an online game in 10 years, so I don't care.
