old eyes can not see....

Hey All
I am running Two's...the Text on my 27" IPS (2560 x 1440) is just too dam small.
I am having to pull out the Magnifying glass to read the Degree markers on the map. Is there some thing that can make a few of these things bigger ??
I had thought I saw a Text mod or some thing..just can not seem to find what I am looking for ATM.

Any help in pointing me in the correct direction would be great..

In the optional mods of TWoS there are 'Ratio fixes'. Have you tried them?
Go into JSGME of TWoS and activate them to see if it helps you, select one and put it on the right with the arrow key. (Do not install more than 1).

If one doesn't work, try the other ones too, there are more of them.

At default, TWoS will render at 16:9, which is your resolution, but other ones may increase the fonts but making a border around your screen, so you will have to chose the one that best fits your purpose. If you use these fixes above, you may have to change the scaling options of your GPU, that's because otherwise the game may 'stretch' incorrectly to fullscreen with the bad ratio, which is not good (circles are not round but elliptic etc.). Report back so I can help you...

Then, Longitude/Latitude marks on the map are way too small and blur with the IO map, you cannot change that without another mod, and there is none AFAIK, meaning that you would have to take out the IO map part of TWoS and replace the files with Open Horizons II files and standard game files again in order to show you the standard map which has good contrast for Long/Lat but no good water depth zones shown. You have to make a choice here too...

then: "Old eyes cannot see":
If you have problems seeing onscreen, then it's time to get good lenses, I'm serious, because your eyes will worsen otherwise. I use special lenses with Zeiss optics especially designed for computer monitors that also have effect to not get you tired soon. Cost: around $400.

As always someone here will help out the new guys..:Kaleun_Cheers:

Not a huge deal for me I have my Magnifying glass for locating the Degrees when those radio reports come in.

also if you are using the nav map at night on the bridge...

As nerdy as it is, I use red lens goggles so my eyes do not hurt.

Its cool because its like das boot, but it works!
