[Scenario] Gatekeeper

Hi everyone,

I have uploaded a new single mission for Cold Waters to the downloads section. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=5232

It is currently a beta, as this is my first attempt and things look ok from what I have tested. The installation of the scenario is a bit fiddly, so make yourself familiar with the file structure and it is worth having a look at this doc under the Single mission section to understand the files http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=938593459

Be sure the read the Designers Notes and the instructions for installation. Some of the mission will require a bit of Role Playing on your part (Reporting contacts at the end) as I cannot script those bits in. And you can consider a WIN even through destroying one sub, clearing all contacts and raising your ESM mast.

Also there is a bit of an issue in that vessel following waypoints have a 50% chance to go in the opposite direction through the route... Which means the subs which are meant to be heading south might go North! But there are enough subs in the mission to ensure something is coming your way.

Be aware this is not meant to be a quick mission, you will be required to search the waters for the targets. Though due to the fact that you cannot save mid mission, for a fighting chance the subs are close, but not so close that they are all detected at the start....

If game features get updated I will update the scenario :-)

Also note that the mission briefing does not have enough space in the UI due to no scrollbar, so I have included a full briefing on the download page and in a text file.

Sorry if things are a bit fiddly I hope you enjoy it!

Very nice, But i didnt know cold waters had a mission editor?

There is no editor to speak of really. You can create missions by creating .txt files with your favorite text editor.

Easiest way is to use one of the existing as a template and make changes to it as a copy. There is a modding guide in the guides section on Steam which explains how to do it all.

A bit of a fiddle, but once you get your head around it, it is ok.
