New to 1.5 have problems

Although I intented to download rfb after finishing my american campaign I saw that rfb is no longer being patched for 1.4 so I thought I would try 1.5 instead and initially I was very impressed. The idea of getting to call fleet support was especially appealing and I couldn't wait to call in a cruiser to sock it to some DD's.
After several attempts to get a cruiser to my AO in time I finally got a german heavy in to tackle some dd's giving me a hard time. My ecstasy turned to despair as the heavy cruiser just sailed through the destroyers without ever firing a shot and was sunk for its trouble.
So am I missing the method for employing these things or is my game broken?

when you are using a mod and have questions about it you are better off posting in that mods thread to get help from others using that mod.

after all they are the ones who know best whats supposed to be happening with the mod.

when asking a question about RFB then you should put it in the thread title.

say "new to RFB - have problems" and RFB users will look to help you

good luck and good hunting

sorry for the confusion I was trying to say I got U-boat missions instead of rfb.

if you dont get any help by tomorrow you might get better results if you repost a new thread and call it "fleet support wont engage enemy" then describe what you did and the mods your using at the time.

that should get you some responses, i think this thread title might be too general.
