Horns of a dilemma

So, I'm playing a dead is dead campaign, got transferred to the Med, and I was tracking a Task Force, and managed to sink a DD and the HMS Nelson, but one of the other escorts, made a lucky run on my boat, and severly damaged it, managed to stop the flooding and slink away with no crew losses, but both of my engines were destroyed. So....what do I do, it's not like AOD where I can broadcast my distress and abandon my ship and maybe get picked up, but I'm also not dead...so, do I teleport to base or just call this one a quits?

hi darthlucky do you use the Commander mod also did you do the Academy training before started your Campaign to get 1500 renown for extra uboat upgrades if so make a new career with same kapitans name pick a same uboat and start date
also pick the same flotilla you used in the Mediterranean and all should be fine and full steam ahead sir
its just like getting a tow back to base you may be able to pick a new uboat also when you make a new career but keep your kapitans name the same

Hi Darthlucky,

Consider using h.sie's Realism- and gameplay-related hardcode fixes for SH3.EXE, specifically with Stiebler's add-on. IIRC, you can just get Stiebler's add on and it will incorporate the other parts. Takes some time and effort to implement, but it is well worth it.

As to your concern, Stiebler's add-on has a surrender option. In it, you are able to scuttle your u-boat and risk being picked up by your side or theirs. I seem to remember that he modeled it on the AotD idea as well.

It would certainly give you an option in the future!

Cheers!:Kaleun_Salute:
