I wonder who they are copying this idea from? :hmmm:

ikalugin 11-16-17 11:18 AM

Hypersonics are all the rage nowadays, so they got the idea themselves.

I hope they don't forget to write "Made in China" on it for when it hits as a dud we can trace back to them :D

'Made in China' is on everything that falls apart nowadays!!

I have a wind tunnel, maybe they would like to hire me!:yep:

China is building the world’s fastest wind tunnel to simulate hypersonic flight at speeds of up to 12 kilometres per second.
:shifty:

So...26,800 mph? That's above mach 25 and the speed at which objects reenter the atmosphere from space. Assuming it didn't burn up from the friction, you wouldn't even need a warhead on such a device.

Let's just say I find it difficult to believe that a projectile could effectively sustain such speeds without catastrophic results.

The US military tested HTV-2, a Mach 20 unmanned aircraft in 2011 but the hypersonic flight lasted only a few minutes before the vehicle crashed into the Pacific Ocean.
