Looks promising and fun. Now the criteria of fun is if my wife will enjoy playing it with me. hope it works out :)

Well, my wife used to kick my butt in Tide of Iron, although she has never been a WW2 fan ;) What is interesting, however, is that ladies generally enjoy co-op games, don't they? Maybe this will prove to be the factor that could encourage them to give it a try

New stuff to read on our website! Please check http://uboottheboardgame.com/ for the second instalment of our designer diaries - hope you like it!

There is also box art on the home page in case you haven't seen it yet ;)

Hope you guys have a good weekend!

Hi!

I got some juicy morsels for ya! We have received 3d printed models of our U-boat's crew, hope you like them! BTW, the base shapes are for easy identification, crew hierarchy (officer - pentagon, petty officer - square, etc.), and some other things that I will tell you about in due time ;)

Please let me know your thoughts and we will be releasing more info on gamepay soon.

And here we go:

The Chief Engineer's crew:

Seems promising!

I'd been a hard-core wargame player (SL/ASL, PanzerBlitz, 3rd Reich, Submarine, etc.) until my lovely "C-in-C" decided otherwise and put some SOPs in place :O:

That was a long time ago... I thought the genre was definitely dead. You seem to have a great concept!

Players "simultaneous" play/communication approach is quite interesting indeed compared to the standard "turn-based" one. You definitely catch my attention. If this concept is capable of generating the same intensity I saw during negotiation phase in Diplomacy game. Indeed that will be quite fun!

Keep on the good work!

Hauptmann

Hi,

We're glad that you like the idea behind the game! We are aiming at creating 'controlled chaos', where the crew really has to cooperate efficiently under the pressure of time in order to survive and complete the mission.

In other news, we will be presenting UBOOT:TBG at UK Game Expo between the 2nd and the 5th of June. Hope to see you there!

Hello everyone!

We are continuing our effort to bring you the first-ever tabletop subsim! Here's just a glimpse of how the project is coming along on the audio side:

On top of that, don't forget to visit us at the UK Game EXPO in Birmingham next week!

Hello everyone,

We are very excited to let you know that after ten hours of playtesting UBOOT: TBG at UK Game Expo we got tons of positive feedback, including the first hands-on preview by an ex-military naval warfare expert!

Please check out Cdr Jameson's impressions of the game here:

Well, I kickstarted the UBOOT game for the computer. When does this come to Kickstarter?

Artur Salwarowski 06-26-17 10:04 PM

Hi,

Our Kickstarter will be launching right after Essen Spiel, so early November.

In the meantime, we have uploaded the 3rd designer diary to our website! Please have a look if you're curious about how navigation works:

Hi guys, glad to be resurfacing after a long silent run! :Kaleun_Salute: We have been very busy refining our game and I will soon have a few gameplay videos for you!

But for now, just a quick recap from our latest mission - three brave crews embarked to sink allied shipping within Operation 'Sturmwind'.

AAR:

Location: 'Ludiversum' gaming pub, Katowice, Poland
Time: 16.09.2017
Duration: 6 hours (2h per crew)
Successes: 18 000 of allied GRT sunk.
Losses: one U-boat sunk by depth charges (all hands lost).
Crew satisfaction: high :)

Note to commanding officer: a total of two female personnel took part in the operation (one Navigator, one First Officer). Inquiry regarding game satisfaction met with surprisingly positive feedback! Case referred to U-boat headquarters for further investigation...

If the gameplay is as good as your design, count me as a potential buyer :)

Looking forward to your gameplay videos...

It may be hard to believe, but Gameplay is even better ;)
