And another one from Saturday. :nope:

In Galveston, Tx, there was an collision of a Spitfire & Hurricane. Pilots are ok, but dang...

Quote taken from LSFM Spirit of Flight's forums:

A rainy and windy morning cleared up in time for the flying to start for the Saturday show but late in the afternoon a runway accident involving the two-seat Spitfire and the Hurricane brought some sadness to the event. Both pilots were okay after the incident but the aircraft involved will require some major work to get them back into flying condition. The details are still coming in but basically the Spitfire ended up nose down and limping after colliding with the Hurricane that landed just before it. A few pics of what happened.

And in a German railway tunnel, one of our high-speed trains, ICE, slammed into - a crowd of sheep that somehow made it into the tunnel. That it took place inside a tunnel actually was a great luck, because the train derailed, but the walls prevented it from going completely amok, it slid along them for several hundred meters until coming to a standstill.

Aye, have been a bad start for 2008 when it comes to airshows. 3 accidents involving WWII fighters and now this one in Germany. :nope:

Yeh, I read about it too. Luckily nobody lost their lives.

Wrong. Several sheep did not leave the scene. Animal protection lobbyists now demand that sheep shall not get hit by express trains with speeds in excess of a safety speed set below the 200 km/h by which this ICE was racing through the tunnel. :88) we really should treat our sheep better than that.
