Wow, 20th Virginia class sub, seems like yesterday when the Navy was ceasing production of Seawolf class and starting a new unnamed class that went on to be Virginia class.

Let's hope they've tightened up proceedures: The Minnesota is being repaired at the Electric Boat shipyard in Groton, Conn. The contract for the one-year overhaul was $57 million; officials were unable to say how much the cost has risen due to the repair delays. The USS Muskallunge (SS 262) Gato class was the 20th submarine built in WWII March 15th, 1943 ... Electric Boat went on to build 41 Gato's (two before the war broke out) during WWII.
Sad, but true we may never know who won the war if another one breaks out ... Go Navy  |
