hey, I was wandering if dw handles 3dsmax materials. (textures, with specular highlights, and bump mapping.) I think I could implement something nice to my SSN-21 using these stuff...

:)

thats sad.. anyway, I'll send some updates from my models here.

ps: is there a model that is very weak (poor) in DW, that may be re-modeled?

thanks

Hi everybody,

I'm part of a small group doing modeling of italian submarines. In the past we did that for the old SilentHunter2 and now we are moving towards Dangerous Waters. Unfortunately none of us had the luck, so far, to find a copy of 3DStudioMax 3 to export the 3DS models in J3D format.
So I'd like to ask if anybody could try to convert our models. In exchange we could paint and texturize your models since we have a guy doing just that. For now, we have the models for Sauro class submarine (80s-today), Toti class submarine (70s-80s) and we're working on the U212A class. In the near future we'll also make models for a couple of frigates and a destroyer.
Thank you for your kind attention,

Aaken

I would suggest making a new topic. That would probably be your best bet at getting someone to answer. I wish you luck, Sorry cant help no 3-D experience here.
