Is this available for the newer generation of modded SH3?
 

I stumbled across this thread and would really like to have and use your program/mod.

I am seriously impaired visually and this would really help me alot!

I have tried VoiceAttack but, the programming is difficult, to say the least.

I love the game and would really love it if I could use your mod.

I play the GWX-Onealex version of SH3 and am hoping that it will work with your work.

I believe it is part of windows and should already be on your machine.

You can access it through your Control panel and you should see it as "Speech Recognition Option".

Issue with SAPI 5.1
 

Ahoy everyone,
I hope this forum is still active. I started playing Silent Hunter 3 recently and I have issues setting up SH3Speech, mainly because of SAPI 5.1 which seems to be required. I have heard that it is incompatible with Windows 10, which would explain my inability to run it.

First off, welcome aboard !


It appears that SAPI5.1 is not compatible with Win10 according to Microsoft website. You will most likely need to transition to another Speech program like Dragon Speech, which is compatible with Win 10 and Win 11. But I do not think it is free.

And thank you FUBAR for clearing this up. I thought that SAPI 5.1 was the only program compatible with SH3Speech, but if this is the case I will experiment myself and see what works the best. Can't wait to finally try it out, I am sure my neighbours will be very happy as well!

If one wants speech commands in Shx, I highly recommend using Voice Attack. Much easier to use and setup. Continually updated too vs. this progam.

You can use voice attack. Basic profiles |(German/English) are with the Night Surface attack mod.
