This is the only thing it keep me away from this game. I would pay another 30 euro for a 1st person DLC, with descent views like dangerous waters.

And so would I :Kaleun_Cheers:

I have to say that while in port, I hate the interruption of the news. Although, that is the place to get the most Intel on current events.

That being said, I wish that those pictures were a bit more detailed to the AO that I am operating in. Even pics of the crew and their lives while on duty or their families.

All of this just comes down to emersion. I know that I am contradicting myself, but emersion is important.

Are there any modding tools that exist to import/alter in-game 3d models without the need for coding?

Without 3d interiors already present in game to add to/build upon, it could be nearly impossible to implement without significant chnages to the game code.

Recently looked into getting CW and I agree 100%: The lack of any interior views whatsoever, 3D or 2D, is a total deal-breaker for me.

In DW I nearly always have 3D disabled via the cfg screen. Given its age, it is amazing that DW remains IMO the peak of the genre.

Agree 110%!

I've always considered Cold Waters to be an arcade sub action game.
It may have some simulated elements, but that alone doesn't make it a true sub sim!

Cold waters is marketed as the spiritual successor to Microprose's Red Storm Rising and that's what it really is.
Red Storm Rising wasn't a true sub sim either back in the day, but 688 Attack Sub was!
