Sb 2

With Sky leaving, I hope someone can answer this.

What is the new Steel Beast 2 going to be like? Is it going to be an updated version of winSPMBT or a lower priced version of SB Pro?

Hello there Sonar732. Steel Beasts 2 a long way off and my understanding is that it will have less features than Steel Beasts Pro PE but will cost less. I believe it will be aimed squarely at the gaming market and as such different priorities will drive the development. As a tank simulation it will be very close to SB Pro PE. Take a look at this link:

http://www.esimgames.com/comparison.htm

Here you can see some of the planed features and the goals of the different products. SB2 is listed as “Entertainment for consumers” Hope that gives you a general idea of what’s coming. It’s about as much as I know.

Judging by the link you gave me, I might as well spend the extra $50 on the Pro PE version.

Yes, go for the SB Pro PE. Never know when SB2 will turn up, and as a sim the Pro Pe version is outstanding. Shortly there will be a free add on as well.
In my opinion I think the developers should concentrate on the Pro Pe in the future as well. But I'm biased as i already spent my money on that one. :)

Cheers Porphy

Aye, if you’re in to simulations in a big way then SB Pro PE is the way to go. It’s great as you can play long, in depth missions or if you like me sometimes get a little twitchy you can quickly load up instant action or hit the tank range. Here you can practice you aiming skills to your harts content by shooting up as many tanks as you like.
It’s likely that I my self will get sb2 when it comes out just to see what it’s like but it is going to be a long time, not before Christmas 2007 and sometime in 2008 are the current estimates.
