I was just wondering, been mixing and matching mods for awhile cuz I really like realism... I have the Foam Mod installed that kinda makes ships/sub wakes look alot better, it wrks just fine with the water streams and exhaust combi mod, however, when I finally got my Type XXI and was trying to enable ur XXI water stream mod, I got a not compatible error with the Foam mod, is there a wrk around for this?

Wait scratch that... it all seems to wrk just fine despite the annoying warning msgs from JSME.... thnx tho?

range modification in this mod?

in the .sim-files of his mod, rubini reduced the range of the surfaced ship. for example from 9700 to 7200 miles for type VIIc and from 2800 to 1100 miles for type IIa.

according to the readme, he did that, because the ships have more draught with his mod, and so the ranges have to be lowered.

but are these (drastically) lowered ranges historically correct?

does anybody know??

thank you!

No, what i did is raised the surfaced range for all uboats...but in relation to GWX 1.03 settings (what was the base for the mod) - probably my poor english brings a wrong interpretation :DL. Meanwhile GWX2.0 and above raised a lot the ranges...anyway this is not important for the water stream mod, you can use any range that you like. One of the possibilities is to just making them equal to GWX 3.0 (using S3D), this way it will become more GWX "compatible".

ah, now I understand. thank, you, Rubini.

this might be of interest for all who use your waterstream mod.

I wasn't sure but I thought the net result of plowing through these posts was that this mod (v.4) should work OK with GWX 3.0, so I loaded this up on my GWX 3.0 install last night, fired up a saved game from in port between patrols and took my Type IIA out for a spin. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any water streaming from anywhere on my boat - does this not work with GWX 3.0 after all, or does it not include the Type IIA, or is there just something else hosed up about my install ?

IIRC it have water stream for all playable uboats and german Ai uboats (exception to XXI and type XIV). And it must run on GWX 3.0 without any problem. Check your Water Stream mod installation to that old issue about doubled mod folder name when using JSGME. Also let me know if others uboats are ok or not.

In my game it works fine with GWX 3.0, including the Type IIA.

As Rubini said, check to make sure there isn't one 'Waterstreams' folder inside another. The order should be 'Waterstreams', then 'Data'.
