Funny IL46 crash landing video!

Some might have seen this video before, but its the first time for me. What I would like to know, where can you get the skin to make the pilot look like a clown? When the 109 crashes, you'll see the clown run from the plane, lol

That was fun. I like crashes in any IL-2 game. The damage effects are great.

Why would you want a clown pilot?

I had a rather wonderful crash landing today.

Ok. Me-262s are worthless. Whenever I fly one, the engines catch fire and explode.

So I'm on the runway.

I take off down the runway, pull back gently, and as I lift up, my engines catch fire. Great. So now, about 100 meters before the end of the runway, I'm pulling up to take off. My engines promptly die. The don't start. So. My speed bleeds off and I drop like a rock flat on my belly. Engines still aflame. I proceed to bail out. Pilot runs left. Not 10 feet later, the left engine decides to blow up.

Pilot: dead

The End Of That Mission.

With the 262 you want to increase throttle VERY VERY slowly, and watch your engine temperatures like a hawk.

Indeed, all throttle changes must be done very slowly (just as it was in RL, actually IL2 is even more forgiving than the real thing was according to an pilot instruction film I've once seen)

Yes. I realize that now. After some trial and error to find the limits of the 262, I got to where I can fly it. But, my instinct to punch the throttle in danger to get some speed fails me. You definitely can't fly it like a P-40.

I was dogfighting in a He-162. They are the same way. When I'm stalling with flaps to some trees (this has worked in IL-2 for me before) on purpose to lose what's on my tail. Usually I just punch it at the treetops and up flaps/WEP out of there. But no. I turn into a V-1 Rocket and usually blow up. I've gotten Jap fighters that way with the P-40 on the first Pearl Harbor mission. The downside being that if I screw up, I crash miserably.
