The 'edit' button is only accessible when you click on your captain in the 'top captains' column.

Not sure why this isn't working for you, Vecko. Have you tried deleting all your saves and starting a new career?

I tried everything, including full game installation, new campaign, router restart, new loginames/passwords, disabling firewall ect ect.

I'm probaly banned by server or something...

The program was supposed to write what you already have an account under a different login. Instead, it makes visible that everything is good. I've fixed it on the server side. Just try again. You have registered under the login aaa. I changed it to vdr1981.


vdr1981, why are u still Oberleutnant zur See with Sinking tonnage - 381118? In SH4 you would have been Kapitanleutnant or Korwettenkapitan.

Good question, I was wondering the same.. . Some entries from CareerTrack.upc game save files in SH5 definitely do not work as they should. Captains rank is one of those entries. I'll check some other files inside gamesave folder to see is there maybe some other entries which you can read with KSD Commander....:hmmm:

OK, the only "working" captains description entries are located on top of ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc inside gamesave folder. You can see example of players advance in following lines, taken form different war periods...

It is clear that these entries are not shown in game...Instead, the game will read values from CareerTrack.upc file, which are broken and can not be updated...

You can also read player current location from CampaignMission.mis file. Tell me if you want to know more about this...

Is there any place in game interface where i can see current rank of my captain? I cant find it. Maybe in stock sh5 there was that place and there isnt that place only in NewUIs?

Or maybe in SH5 there isnt info of captains rank at all? If so i will add ranks in KSDCommander depending on merit points sinking tonnage and number of patrols.

Only here, but as you can see those values are taken from CareerTrack.upc which are messed up and always the same...

All kind of messed up modlist can be seen there...No mater how detailed instructions or video tutorials are provide, some people will never understand...:):doh:

no offense to someone but there are players who doesn't read the documentation cos they think they are smart and know all and doesn't need to read the documentation and when they mess up something will blame the mod creator......

In this file i see only parameters like CurrentExperience, Personality, Leadership etc. But in program i want to release captains rank like Oberleutnant zur see, Kapitanleutnant etc.

If the game does not have ranks for the captains. Well. I have information about the number of patrols, merit points and tonnage. And on the basis of these data, I can realistically increase the ranks.

I'm also creating small modification which will make visible only first medal of the same class, while other duplicates will be ignored, something like this...

Medal criteria in SH games are still a bit of mistery for me but I really doubt that there is too much logic and historical accuracy in it.
For example, I know for sure that in SH5 the game will give you IronCross2nd class for almost every patrol with more than 1000 merit/renown points, 2000 point or soo IC 1st class ect...Other available medals requires more of something but I'm still not sure what (tonnage , renown or maybe certain ship class :hmmm:)
All in all, if we ignore duplicated medals issue, medals system in SH5 could work more or less OK ...:hmmm:
