^ Could you give me a plausible outcome of these matches even those who you think may end with a draw after full time(15x4 minutes)

Here one of our betting have a coupon where you have to predict the outcome of 12 NFL matches.

Home win=1
Draw = x
the visitor wins = 2

Following matches are on this weeks coupon

1. Green Bay Packers - Minnesota Vikings
2. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kansas City Chiefs
3. Washington Redskins - Indianapolis Colts
4. New Orleans Saints - Cleveland Browns
5. Atlanta Falcons - Carolina Panthers
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Philadelphia Eagles
7. New York Jets - Miami Dolphins
8. Buffalo Bills - Los Angeles Chargers
9. San Francisco 49ers - Detroit Lions
10. Los Angeles Rams - Arizona Cardinals
11. Jacksonville Jaguars - New England Patriots
12. Denver Broncos - Oakland Raiders

Or is it to early to predict the outcome of these matches ?
NFL season is in its beginning.

Maybe instead of a new thread each week, we could have a single NFL thread? There's enough around with the FF stuff too (keep that separate).

Ahh the euro style vs the American style of labelling games. In the US, the Home team is usually listed last, while in Europe, it's usually first correct? So any suggestions you might get, make sure you're aware of who's home or away.

I'd guess this is a carry over from baseball, as it was our first real organized sport. The home teams bats last, so they are listed second/below the away away team.

But I'd count on the Browns and Bills to lose. But without any other info, just find a sports book online and look at the odds.

Correct The European style is the home team first.

I was thinking of looking up some of these NFL-betting pages and see the odds for those matches.

There's supposed to be an @ sign or "AT" in between the team names.

Example:

Patriots @ Jaguars.

Patriots at Jaguars
Patriots playing at the Jaguars stadium.

Okay I'll try that Gargame ... I was worried there wouldn't be enough interest so I thought maybe just a weekly information thing would do. I'll go start one and the mods can close this one as they see fit. :yep:

Okay I'll do it right the next time :D

@ mapuc

You want us to do what? Help you win a NFL betting contest? Okay, but don't blame our picks I am always for the Cleveland Browns and they lost all of their games last year :o

No you did it right. "at" is the same thing as @. I was just explaining to Mapuc why we list the home team second.

Correct the American style I however had copied these 12 matches from a Danish betting homepage.

Prognostications and Picks all look good until the game is over. These all seem like very good picks though. I have 2 upsets though.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4.5 point favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs. Steeler QB Rothlisberger has an ailing elbow and may not even start, let alone play. 2nd team QB Josh Dobbs took all of the first team snaps this past week. That coupled with an inexperienced back up QB, Josh Dobbs and a slow start last week and I think the Steelers lose this one in a close game. Steelers CB Joe Haden with a hamstring injury and Guard DeCastro, in addition to Rothlisberger, probably won't play. The Kansas City Chiefs are also a good team that figures to be in the playoff hunt at the end of the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots game is a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game. I think The Jaguars are looking for vindication and win this one in a close game as well. The Vegas line is the Patriots are 1 point favorites with an over / under of 45 points. Everyone knows the Patriots are the team to beat in the AFC conference. With Tom Brady and company in New England, the Patriots are a high mountain to climb. Both teams had their hands full last week with the Texans and Giants, respectively. I look for both of these teams in the playoffs come January.

Well, that's my 2 cents worth of wisdom. :haha:

I find it's easiest, especially early in the season, to just adopt the general betting line and then pick out of that 1-3 upsets based on the latest news like what Commander Wallace has done.

He's wrong about the Patriots though! :D

You are probably right about the Patriots, August. I have a feeling though. I hardly ever bet against the Patriots but when I do, I get this guy to do it for me. :03:

Stay competitive and thirsty my friends.:D

1. Green Bay Packers - Minnesota Vikings = 1X (favorite 1)
2. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kansas City Chiefs =1
3. Washington Redskins - Indianapolis Colts = 1,2 (favorite 1)
4. New Orleans Saints - Cleveland Browns = 1X (favorite 1)
5. Atlanta Falcons - Carolina Panthers = 1
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Philadelphia Eagles 1,2 (favorite 2)
7. New York Jets - Miami Dolphins = 1,2(favorite 1)
8. Buffalo Bills - Los Angeles Chargers = X2 (favorite 2)
9. San Francisco 49ers - Detroit Lions = 1
10. Los Angeles Rams - Arizona Cardinals = 1,2 (favorite 1)
11. Jacksonville Jaguars - New England Patriots = 1*
12. Denver Broncos - Oakland Raiders = 1,2(favorite 1)

* Patriot is expected to win this one, I had Commander Wallace comment about last years meeting between these two teams and some of the Injurie among the players in New England.

So I decided to take a chance with this game.
