I don't find an issue of limited camera use....it goes straight through any object I wish.


I will check it tomorrow. I mean the arrow keys: in TMO with OTC I can approximate the sub from external camera all I want. I don't use F12 in TMO RSRDC OTC. Many thanks!

Ok, got it. I'll have to look too.....I don't use the arrow keys for camera movement, so there may be something different about them when compared to the F12 External "Free" Camera. I just use the Mouse to point my direction of the camera, then use the "Shift" key to speed forward, the "Ctrl" key to slow down.

to that end, there seems to be two definitions of exterior camera.
one seems to rotate around the sub, and the other seems to rotate around the ship in the display.
i am playing TMO+RSRD and the definition of f12 is:

the current definitions are:

however these are the same key combinations that are used by the Stock game where the camera rotates around the ship and not the sub.
thoroughly confusing.

F12 puts the external camera on the stern of my boat, and it goes....With "." key I go to external cameras, move the camera with arrow keys, and there is a limit of approach. I don´t have that limit with OTC for TMO 25, with the same keys.

Hydrophone station not working
 
Just switched to a Gar class boat from a tambor class in a career and I can’t make the hydrophone bearing move with either the mouse or the keyboard. Any workarounds? Are there other classes of boats that this affects as well?

I've reworked our Ultimate mod to allow for the same "free" camera as OTC has when using the "Next/Previous Unit" camera. The next version of Ultimate will have the changes in it. :up:

Great! I like to see very near the other ships when use external camera. Also you can see the llifeboats and the poor five sailors - only one with oars - pressing the arrow keys and shift. Many thanks!

Downloaded and Playing v0.71
 
So far so good. It looks and feels good. The only change I made was to make the External Camera view just like the TMO external camera view. No I can zoom in to the external chase camera and i don't have to reset it everytime I choose external. Any chance you modders can put that in the next release?

That is tweaked again in this next version, and it does affect several boats.

Did you get it to go with the LAA or 4gig patch? If not, let us know. Also let us know where you have Steam installed, and if you have a Steam Library elsewhere on the computer, than the default Program Files (x86) folder.

CapnScurvy is talking about the Free Camera. I am referencing the External Camera. With stock FOTRSU .71 beta, the zoom in is limited. I am using the settings in TMO to change camera.dat only.
