Thank you Ch4: Humans

Man, this is robot summer for me. First the amusingly bad Terminator: Retirement Home, then the awesome Ex Machina (cannot recommend that one enough, brilliant film). Now the 8 episode series Humans, in a time not too distant where Synths are abundant, helping us humans with our daily chores. Great program, very well done. :salute:

The moment of Singularity approaches....

Cannot wait for season two, all hell is gonna break loose with that blonde synth at large.

I found it a bit on the slow side but apart from that the main story line was clever. While I was watching the final episode I was thinking this opens the door to another series which was announced as the closing credits rolled.

Hope its more darker and sinister when it returns next year. :)

Not had time to watch it yet but have it recorded.

Yeah, you're right, hopefully the next season will be

more about the widespread breakout of AI, and less at home family settings. Those were fine for S1 but I doubt they would serve for another season. Don't see how they will work the family into future plots either.

In the spirit of this thread, I saw The Machine (already saw Ex Machina), quite good soundtrack. The story may be a almost Blade Runner prequel...

Onkel Neal 08-13-15 12:25 PM

Thanks, Rhodes. I put The Machine down on my list. Robot Summer still has a month to go:shucks:

Rhodes 08-13-15 01:09 PM

:salute:! I liked better than Ex Machina do to the soundtrack and being a British sci.fi, normally I do like British sci-fi better in some aspects.
Transcendence would be next in line, even if it's not robots.

It's good Neal. I can tell you how it ends :)....just kidding. There is one word bit though about half way into the series.

Onkel Neal 08-19-15 06:07 PM

No spoilers! :o

Please :D

Stealhead 08-19-15 06:47 PM

I like that Terminator: Retirement Home. "Get to da Hoveround".

Onkel Neal 08-19-15 08:47 PM

:O: Yeah, it was.

Wanna hear a really great podcast on this flick, this is it:

Yes, thanks for the notice, just in time to balance out the Walking Dumb. :haha:

STEED 10-30-16 05:19 PM

And we are off the blocks with a interesting start..

The Code is out and they are waking up!

Carrie-Anne Moss still looking sexy.

Woowhooo..part of episode five was shot in my neck of the woods. Their was I watching it on Sunday and the scene the family went out for ice cream came on it looked very familiar. It was French row a side walk though full of food shops most part.

Anyway lets get down to season 2 now 5 episodes in and like season 1 bit of a plodder and rather odd with these side story lines. Once you get pass this odd ball stuff you have a few complicated story lines which I hope all comes together at the end.
