Just bought Naval pack through STEAM....need help!

Hi,

As the title says, I just purchased the three naval pack through steam. Got a problem running the game. Hope someone can help.

Starts good, no flickering unless I use the compatibility wizard.

The problem I am having is the Ship Control Screen (F1) does not appear. I still get a map background with multiple gauge needles without the actual gauges...if you know what I mean.

That's the only problem so far...The other screens appear normal.

Any ideas?

I am running Windows 8.1, NVidia GeForce gtx560ti, 8 GB Ram. All of the drivers are up to date...but I really don't think that would matter considering the age of the game.

Any Ideas or suggestions?

Thank you.

PS. I am not sure how the other games run, I primarily purchased for Sub Command.

Hi. I figured it out. I had to disable some settings in the nvidia control panel.

Wow...this is a complicated game...training missions are extremely hard to comprehend...I guess I should have been a sonar tech.:)

Does Sub Command work with Windows 8.1?

Yep. No problem.

At first I was having problems with the nav station not appearing correctly. Then I "actually" read the Readme file and said that I needed to disable anti-anylis something and other settings. Once I did that-no problems. Runs great!

Hope that helps.

Sorry for the necro, but I'm having exactly this problem, but under Win 7 ... Would you mind sharing which settings you disabled please?
..
while I wait, I guess I'll poke around myself as well

SOLVED! I had to go into nvidia settings and set ALL anti-aliasing options to "Application Controlled" ... I did see that you mentioned that briefly up there, so that was my first stop .. and it worked. .. Thanks :D
