Shinshu Maru will be added as AI Ship.

Shinshu maru (神洲丸) is one of the Japanese military transport ships.
This ship was completed in 1934 and fought World War II.
It was sunk by a US Navy submarine USS Aspro in 1945.

It loads 7 Daihatsu class landing craft and 12 Shohatsu class landing craft on the deck.

Do you mind if it gets used in the Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate mod ~AND~ the Climb Mount Niitaka mod? Proper credit would be given of course... :salute: That was such an unusual vessel. Ahead of its time... Very nice

Just loaded this ship up for a look and must say job well done ! May include in my ship pack for use in RSRD?

Also, did you create the model for the Daihatsu landing craft? I've long hoped for a ship build to create an AI moving Daihatsu for this sim, especially now I am starting work on a PT boat campaign. Currently representing japanese landing craft in game I am using US landing craft added to IJN roster.

I would like so many people to look ShinshuMaru on SH4.

As you say, ShinshuMaru is an unusual kind of ship in the 1940s.
It's one of Japan's good ship.
I think that it was good to be able to produce it as a Japanese!:salute:

I think that PTboat vs. Daihatsu is cool.
I had already prepared Daihatsu as AI in anticipation of demand.

Sure, if not too much trouble armed version would be nice, since many esp those in the solomons were armed. Two light machine guns, later had 2-3 25 MM guns. Whatever works best. I dont think we have any japanese machine guns in game do we? all cannons.

I do have one question. On the Shinshu Maru, smoke is only coming from the small stack. Is that on purpose?

Sure, we don't have a Japanese Army Gun.
In Japanese documents, Daihatsu armed with 37 mm anti-tank gun and 75 mm cannon has been discovered.
I am planning to produce Daihatsu armed with 37 mm and 25 mm.

Shinshu Maru had a fake funnel in front. It's dummy.
Big stack was originally had by IJN Battleship Hyuga.
When Hyuga was remodeled, it was removed and passed to the Shinshu Maru.
After all, a small stack is the only main stack.:up:

As mentioned above, Daihatsu could be armed.
I reproduced this in SH4.

The 37 mm gun in front has the same power as the 40 mm gun of SH 4.
I have a 25mm gun in the center. This also performs anti-aircraft combat.

Hit point is lower than PT boat.
Armor is thinner than PT boat, there is no survival performance.
However, it will appear as a historic Japanese patrol boat and will make your SH4 more enjoyable.
Let's get on the PT boat and fight with the armed Daihatsu!:up:

Very nice! I have a request if that is okay. Can we get a standard non armed version or one with just the 25mm? , perhaps carrying troops(use the sailors from SH 4 if needed) or cargo even.

Just thinking of PT campaign am working on, these would be good escorts for the daihatsus carrying troops and cargo.

The other one is Daihatsu carrying trucks and sailors.

Thank you. Very nice work. Oh both versions will be included in campaign. The version with 37MM will be used as an escort of the others, small littoral patrol craft etc.

This is a vessel that has been missing from SH 4 for a very long time. Look forward to the release
