Question about position reports
 

Hey all. Im playing SH5 with the wolves of steel mod (incredible experience) and Im getting regular requests from the BDU for position and status reports. The historical accuracy of this has gotten me to thinking- Is there a consequence to my acknowledgement of the message, does enemy shipping alter route if they suspect a U-boat is operating in the area?

Hi,

I always make sure there is no sub hunters in the area before sending report.
They could localize you when sending message.

You can ignore responding to BDU (no bad effect) but when you report, sometimes they gives you a local contact to investigate :yep:

+ also radio traffic can result in enemy aircraft intercepting you so avoid messaging close to airfields and their patrol zones

Radio and AI behave as they should. If there are enemy units (any tipe, from subs to planes to ships) around, they might intercept your message and fall upon you like lions.
