Question: U-Flak for SH4 UBM?

I know that people have modded U-Boats in SH3 to have the U-Flak configuration; has anyone tried this with U-Boat Missions? I know a lot of sub captains simply dive upon seeing planes but I just think the U-Flak config looks pretty awesome and would probably be devastating in my opinion! :D

In the real war, having a U-Flak was slightly more effective than pointing your fingers at the attacking plane and yelling "Bang! Bang!" Very few aircraft were destroyed. Many, many U-Boats met their demise trying that foolish scheme.

I just have stock SH4 v 1.5, but I think it'd be an awesome idea to make as a stand-alone mod! I know that in Silent Hunter 3 you could choose your tower upgrades whenever but in SH 4 it's automatic; not quite sure how a U-Flak tower upgrade would work. :hmmm:

Any modders listening, you could make someone very happy!

Now in the game you have a hundred times better chance of bringing down the planes than they had in real life. It could be fun to put up a real AA curtain and see if you can bag some mosquitoes.:D

Yes, many a brave U-Boat met an untimely demise thanks to Allied air superiority :dead:

I saw a mod over in the Silent Hunter 3 forums of a type IXD2 with a U-flak tower, and it looked awesome! (strangely enough, it still kept it's deck gun :06:). I would love to see if it could be ported over to U-Boat Missions!

It's just a lousy shame their bravery was wasted on such a despicable cause.
