Getting a non-controllable friendly to return to its PIM track...

Hello all - I am trying to work the kinks out of an escort scenario I'm working to conduct training with my staff, and am having a problem. I have a CVN that is supposed to follow a set PIM track and reach the end in order to have the mission complete message transmitted. If the CVN is attacked by torpedoes, it evades as I'd expect, but after the attack ceases the ship keeps right on going in the direction it had evaded in. I need to get it to return to its original PIM track as soon as the torpedo attack is over; is this possible?

Thanks kindly.

It should return to its base course once the evade doctrine has run its course, unless another doctrine again overrides the assigned PIM. Are there any other enemy platforms in the vicinity of the carrier? Those could activate an avoid doctrine.

There were not; it kept on running for over an hour. In a second run, the CVN ran itself aground after it completed torpedo evasion. Is there a way to modify the doctrine so that the ship will return to normal operations after an attack?

Well, yes, but the doctrines as they are already do that. Whatever is causing this isn't necessarily going to be solved by re-writing the doctrine, since that's going to get overridden too. I can't rule it out though, maybe if a doctrine expert comes through here you can get a better answer.

Was this a one time thing or it is repeating with the same platform in the same mission?
