You are counter detected.

I like to make a trigger where a Sub launch subrocks, and is detected therefore.
I think it's imposible?
What do you guys think?

hmmm i dont know let me go try some things then i get back to ya

TLAM Strike 07-30-05 01:46 PM

There is a script that gives a platform a solution on another ship. I think its called "Enter Solution".

RADM please excuse this 'first year' student framing a reply to a learned Professor
I am just on the foothills of learning about scenario design.
Just a couple of points.

Is there a work-around (lateral thinking) - if it is not vital that the trigger is the target but detection is the goal
then could cavitation be used as a substitute for launching ?
If AI Launcher is at depth where trigger induces speed increase and cavitation.

Alternatively could trigger activate another land based target, which Launcher is preset to attack,
causing release of the only possibe use missile weapon.

Even if these thoughts are not on target your answer will be instructional. :hmm:

Tonight is for fun - tomorrow I will work some tests.

I think it is impossible without the "useraction=" doctrine criteria.

A approch goal for the SUBROC could be used.

Could you be more specific please?

I am afraid you are right. A "user action" command like in SC would be nice, completed with "fire weapon" and then a list which weapon is being fired.

About triggers-scrips, I am just a student. :-?

When there is a "work around" it wasn't found by me yet. :) The shooter is not AI but a multiplayer.

I dont think so, "attack"" trigger only fired when damage is done.

I wonder? :hmm:

TLam, I think this is only meant for AI objects in single player?
Can you give a (or perhaps more) example(s) how to use this command?

OKO 07-31-05 09:53 AM

hi Fish

I don't see any solution for you here.
maybe you could use the "enter solution" instruction once the launcher has been detected ...?

event trigger :
detect side [subrock launcher] by [opposite side] then trigger fired
action => run script 1

script 1 => enter solution for the plateform(s) you want on the subrocklauncher

this way, if the subrock launcher is detected in any way, you can instantly give to the opposite side (or to a specific other plateform) the very accurate position of the launcher.

this is the only solution I see for your problem

Bellman 07-31-05 11:45 AM

:) Thanks Prof. - Its back to the drawing board for me. :yep:

Just scratching the surface - but its enthralling.

Attached to each SUBROC firing sub there would be an attached approch trigger set for when a SUBROC approches very close and that sets in to action the Script giving all playables a solution. I don't know if the enter solution works in MP.

Bellman 08-02-05 02:11 AM

:) Have followed this thread with great interest and must conclude that this action is not possible in MP
scenario design, in the absence of any response to TLAMs last post. :hmm:

 Another

Its the heat :yep: Not the drink. :yep: :yep:
