You can name the newest Russian nuclear delivery means!

In this nice poll you can submit and vote for how you would like the next generation Russian nuclear weapon delivery system be called.

Sorry, I forgot to add the context.

Basically during the regular President's address to the Federal Assembly (sort of like the state of the union I guess?) after all the socio-economic stuff Putin began to talk about the new strategic nuclear means in the context of the US BMD.
The text can be found here:
http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/56957
videos can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQG...TjyOJnA/videos
quality of videos is, amusing in itself.

In that speech he mentions:
- Status-6 (which we know about)
- Sarmat heavy ICBM (which we know about)
- HGV (which we know about)
- MiG31 launched Iskander (semi-surprise, allegedly it went through IOC)
- laser stuff (semi-surprise)
- nuclear powered (!) long range cruise missile (surprise)

Google translate article on the unveiled systems:

Not sure if it would work out the same in Russian. How about Forward edge Response Weapon heavy Lift (FRWL) a.k.a. "From Russia With Love" :D I vote it should at least be used as the NATO designation.

Feel free to translate and submit it :D

How about calling it Colin?

Catfish 03-05-18 02:20 PM

What about "Boaster". It has almost all in it.. But maybe this should be used for the initial US project, that triggered this. :O:

With the exception of the doom cruise missile all of the programs are well known and appear to be fairly mature. I believe doom torp was covered here multiple times for example.

Kofman provides a good overview.

It would be a good idea, to ban any dirty radioactive weapons polluting and irradiating the environment.

Using an unshielded reactor that will add to the destruction on impact, apart from testing those weapons and let them fall into the ocean?
What a grand concept [/cyn]

Why are those "great" nations and their leaders still on the niveau of a Genghis Khan?
Did anyone read "The three body problem" by this chinese author Liu Cixin? China will do all to accomplish its goals. There is no sympathy, or empathy, and absolutely no regard to people or environment. They will not stop for, or at, anything. It's the same with Russia. And recently it seems, with the US.
