Is there a workaround that corrects the totally bugged damage interface ?

Hello,

So, I'm playing a campaign with a type VIIC, it's april 1940. My game is not modded. I've noticed that the damage interface is not working properly at all. Here are the bugs that I've found (there may be more of them) :

- the color of the damage compartments is changing when you drag your cursor on them (for example, a red one becomes orange) ;

- the color of the damaged compartments are irelevant : for example it's marked as "serious" but the compartment stays yellow as if it was a light damage ;

- after my boat has taken some damage the diesel engine compartment is often colored red whereas it's specified having no damage and no device is broken ;

- when a device is broken (for example a torpedo tube or an engine), the damaged device is not colored on the little drawing representing your boat ;

- its often written that the observation periscope is damged, not working or even destroyed but my obs periscope is working just fine ;

- sometimes, i have the same message "obs periscope damaged" which doesn't stop to appear each second or so, masking all the other messages ;

- i tried to change the armor level factor (in Zones.cfg) to a new value (even a very near value), but the result is that my boat takes no more damage (no flooding and no damaged compartments)....

This is a complete mess, so has anyone solved these bugs ?

:k_confused:

Never noticed any of this. By "not modded" do you mean you're playing stock 1.4b ?

Strange. Never seen such. Unless you changed files yourself I have no idea why it's doing that.

I think that my installation is probably corrupted. How can I be sure to make a perfectly clean re-install ?

Re-do it. :)
