The Lewis type machine gun is used widely by the Japanese. Markings on a number of these guns found in the New Georgia area indicate that the weapon as used by the Japanese is of naval origin. It is also believed that the gun is used extensively for ship or air base protection as the tripod mount is adaptable for antiaircraft fire.

The sailor manning the AA gun in the tub can be seen operating a Type 92 7.7 mm machine gun (center) while the one aft of the tub (left) uses the Type 76 13.2 mm machine gun.

In the japanese forums there is a general consenses that japan was a nation that was self reliant and had the second most powerful navy in the world in ww2 , it has come to the attention of grandsons of past saliors of ww2 that without help from a majior navy like the Usa , that they cannot do without help , As grandsons from the past with the same spirt of the samurai warrior as there grandfathers .. there is a belief that the one that was conquerd has a navy that mirrors that of the United States .. China Is the menace of Japan .. It makes sense that when Japan had the strength of a rank of being the second worlds largest navy . it had nothing to fear and now it relies on the US Navy to defend Japan .. My brothers are saying .. China of whom was defeted and put under dominion are aspring to take the world over are now allowed to roam free and put upon the world that they are the shiining nation of prosperity . all the world will have a chinese name and forget what was known as their own -- I hate this not a known fact , but the opinions of grandsons in the forums, A game is a game , the japanese people are not a war loving people . Wow.I think guy is misunderstanding the point of this mod a bit.Or he is not sure where else to express his opinion:hmmm:
I mean I can understand some of what he is saying and agree with some it he is correct about Japan having to rely on the US for military defence(I think he has used some type of translator and I dont think his trying to be degrading at a least not to us) but still this is more of a general topics post I think.

This mod will allow the player to experience the fight in the PTO on the Japanese side, though it doesn't allow for a change of RL events (which is a serious SH4 weakness for lack of a dynamic campaign) which will always end by the capitulation of Japan. It might show the player that, given slightly different orders like the US unrestricted sea warfare, the allies would have fared much worse : one only has to see the results of I-10 in the Indian Ocean.

A good RL movie is Gochin which was filmed during I-10's fith war patrol in the Indian Ocean.

I already looked into it a while ago, I asked if we could use it in the campaign but he never got back to me.

I plan to make the 4 hammock object I have, plus maybe an 8, and a 2 for ease of placement.

It is also possible to make this object on the model using some node reference as the parent. Then make that node a Y node, and place all the hammocks in a Library dat, then have it appear only with the eqp file! This is what I will do with the merchant shipping. It results in many custom arrangements, but is more controllable than just having the model ALWAYS show the splinter protection.
