This is good news! Frinik mentioned this a while ago, good to see Graviteam still going at it!
I'll sticky this if there are no objections

Another WWII sim Successor to SF

And the other piece of good news is that Graviteam is still committed to making another WWII tanksim based on the Battle for Kharkov of August 1943 and using the improved game engine of Achtung Panzer. This is for release some time next year( in my opinion the latter half of 2011 perhaps September).:yeah:

Looks like it's built on an improved version of the Steel Fury engine.
I can already see modders putting in M1A1's and creating some interesting scenarios.
the name is a little generic, but honestly, if the gameplay is going to be a more refined Steel Fury-like approach, and the graphics are that good looking, I think I can forgive an uninspired title.

Game Engine

Actually the game engine is based on Achtung Panzer which is a step ahead of Steel Fury. The game play looks good and the graphics and special effects improved over SF's .What remains to be seen is whether the AI will be as good as what it is in Achtung Panzer.Looks like SB may have a little competition...

This is what I at first was sorta bummed out about. Great to hear this new cold era tank sim isn't replacing the sequel to SF.

Also thanks posting this thread, I had no idea about the new game.

Bravo!

Very impressive Hemul(Panzerschlange) I think Graviteam is definitely on the right track with this!

A question. Will the Mission Editor of Blaze of War be as easy to use as the one for Steel Fury?
