The demo for this game was just released and it's fantastic :) The Russian designers should be very proud of this one. Can't wait until it's released :cool: Best WW2 tank sim I've played.

One question about the demo:

After you have opened the hatches, is it possible to make the tank commander travel with his head out of the hatch to have a good view of the terrain???

If that is not possible now, I think it is really necessary to add it to the final version of the game. It could be implemented as an additional view available for the tank commander: the view corresponding to having the commander's head out of the opened hatch.

Are the developers going to implement it?

What do you think about this feature?

can not install new tank sim
 

hi all i have downloaded this new tank sim demo from the web site in parts 1,2 ,3 etc and i have found them to be rar docs? how do you get to install them when you have downloaded them??? i have used winzip but with no luck. thanks rich:nope: .

Txema - You cannot travel with head out of turret in the demo. I would guess they will include it in the main game as it would be a useful feature with binoculars.

Rich Ace - You only need to extract the Part 1 file with WinRAR then go to the OPEN folder and double click on the Starter file - that will automatically unpack the rest of the data and install the game.

In the Options/Video Options screen on the main menu make sure you do not move the texture quality slider from the Compressed setting as this will cause a permanent crash. If the crash happens just go to OPEN/Data/K42/LOC_ENG/CONFIG and delete the file config.engcfg then start up the game again.
