New Harbours and Late War Traffic

This is the very first mod that I've uploaded publicly.

(Shameless Copy and Paste from the readme)
This mod has been under development on and off for six months. Thought it isn't as complete as I would have liked, I am starting to grow tired of working on this. Thus, I am releasing it in it's current state.

This mod's original goal was to create a more accurate representation of the main japanese naval harbours. Alongside those, it also adds new harbours on the US Western coast and in the Indian Ocean, as well as some modifications to several existing harbours. All new harbours will have vessels occupying them. I haven't added harbour defenses to any of them, though.

I have also added two new campaign files: one represents the activities of the Imperial Japanese Navy during the final year of the war; the other models the minefields deployed during Operation Famine, a large scale mining operation beginning on 26th March, 1945.

In game, you will find the major japanese warships in their historical mooring spots. Some will be changing spots depending on the date. Only the major changes are modeled. I have also filled the new harbours with late war versions of existing ships.
The minefields will progressivly thicken as time goes on. They will prevent you from reaching the main harbours and gaining easy tonnage. The japanese will be cleaing out lanes for ships to traverse. You can find and navigate them, but don't forget the way out when you anger neighbouring destroyers!

The mod was built on Trigger Maru, with Run Silent, Run Deep Campaign. It should work on all versions of RSRDC, although I have only tested it with TMO and RFB.

Installation:
- Extract and place the mod into your MODS folder (make sure that the folder has "data" when it is opened)
- Load it up with JSMGE
- Add to names.cfg in "Roster" the following line:
DDYokaze=Minekaze Destroyer

Notes:
- I haven't been able to replicate Yokosuka, since the terrain upon which the harbour is built is modeled after the modern version. Thus, I have decided to make today's version, with some liberties.
- Except Seattle, San Pedro and Vancouver, the new american harbours have been built without regards for historical accuracy.
- Some buildings in Nagoya are in the water. I'm letting it be for now, as they are only visible in a overhead view, and I wanted to get this version out of development.
- The island next to which battleship Hyuga was moored against doesn't exist ingame. As such it is currently floating SW of it's historical position.
- I may have placed too many mines.

We'd have to check "interoperability", but would you mind if we include your work in the Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate mod, and in the Climb Mount Niitaka mod? Your name, of course, would be in the credits. In both cases though, we may have to re-work certain aspects, but adding-in missing docks is easy enough work. Somewhere in one of the posts around here, I pointed out the basics of doing such. I'll see if I can find that later today... :salute:

Hi Faith
I would like to say publicly thank you for taking the time and trouble on producing something new for SH4.:Kaleun_Salute:
I certainly for one will look forward to seeing it in FOTRSU in the future.

@Faith
Wow.... :Kaleun_Applaud:

Thank you very much Faith. First glance at what you did, we'll have to do some careful merging, since yours is based on RSRDC, but a few Type= changes, and taking my time while editing (I'm famous for running things over from going too fast with the "Replace" feature of the editor), and we'll have your extras included. Thanks again! :salute:

Will this mod be part of the next Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate release? I do not want install till I know it works.

It will be incorporated into FotRSU, but as it stands right now, will NOT work with FotRSU v0.63, due to the Campaign.cfg file, and several of the MIS files being not only completely different, but having different Type= calls for certain ships. As such, it would not only bugger things up, but would also crash the game on you if you install it now. Faith uses a modified TMO / RSRDC, which is quite different from FotRSU.

And with your wizardry, it will be in safe hands... Once you have the right glasses on to see it..:har:

There were a few mistakes and some stats that I've forgotten to modify in the original release. So here's version 1.1:
- fixes some errors in dates, spawn locations and number of spawns.
- ships next to the Singapore sea wall were on the wrong side. Moved to correct position.
- Adds basic british harbour traffic to Singapore

Still no harbour traffic for Vancouver (yet).
And to confirm what propbeanie said, ths is a RSRDC based mod. It will NOT work with any other modification that isn't based on this new campaign.
