I would like to see more skins for the different U-Boats and all the Objectives and messages translated into English. I already voted in your poll but I just thought I would also reiterate it here. Thanks Alex for all your hard work.

Hi all :salute:
These are some of my mods that i have been working on for the KSD-II.


1. New sounds, effects and more balanced volume.
To see the difference load some mission where there is a huge battle going on,then surface
your sub and allow to take some shell hits. You will notice that sound effects are
not overlapping with one another and they sound more clean. DC sound is more balanced, i
think it was too loud before. Also there are some new sounds
of rain, wind, interior ambient and others...it could be a matter of taste so if you
don't like some of the new sounds just delete them in sound folder and load the mod
without them.

2. Increased field of view for interior camera, this makes the feel that interior
is a little big longer and it looks better. This only affect interior camera, not
conning tower, periscope or free camera.

3. New environment, new waves, reflections, underwater and some glitches has been fixed.
There was a glitch where a submarine can sink in a 15 m/s waves. Also there was
a small glitch on the terrain when you are looking it from a certain distance.
All of this has been fixed. Also there is a new Reshade Effect that comes with this mod.
To make it work you will need to open d3d9.ini with notepad and change the paths where
you have installed the game. You will have to disable any other Environment mod for this to work.

4. More Realistic Flotation for Type VIIc.
The submarine will act more natural on waves, especially the big stormy waves.
There are no side effects but i had to make a few minor changes, a normal dive would
take a little bit longer about 1:30 minute, the crash dive would take about 40 sec.
Personally i like this because it makes the game more challenging and you would have to
plan diving more ahead. I have done this only for VIIc because it is my fav. sub but if
someone likes it i can make changes for others subs.

Here is another mod for KSDII.

Only for Type VIIc for now.
This mod makes the blown fuse effect after a depth charge attack.
So when a sub is being bombarded by a depth charge, there will be a flickering lights
and then the crew will be in the dark for a while (not complete darkness). The time that the crew will be in the dark
is random between 3-10 minutes and that will simulate the time of how much the
crew needs to replace the blown fuses and light bulbs. And yeah it is a cool atmospheric effect. :salute:

Yes, you are right the diesels were too quiet. So i set them louder, thanks for reminding me that! About the bowspray sound, hmm...here the bowspray sound is very quiet if i put a volume just a little bit down i can't here it anymore.
Maybe you meant the ambient_wind sound, because it sounds like a bowspray and the wind in the same audio. So i did make it more quiet.

This is version 2 of visual effects.
Underwater visibility has been increased.
Now there is about 50-50 chance that the crew will stay in the dark
after a depth charge attack. Only for Type VIIc for now.
Use this mod with New environment mod, otherwise the game may not start properly.
