super quick question..
 

hey guys, was reading about using goblin editor to mod files...I have Silent Hunter 4.. Everything I see says its located in your SH5 main folder...I dont see it in my main folder..I assume SH4 it does not come with goblin editor? if not where can I get this? Also what about "SD3"..is this a newer easier program to use to change and modify ZON files?

Gobliin Editor is in SH5, and only for certain files and tasks. S3Ditor is some cool stuff. There are quite a few tutorials on the site here, some linked to from the skwasjer's site, and it the best thing to use for SH4 stuff. It can open the DAT, SIM, ZON, VAL, CAM & DSD files of the game. However - for some of the work you'd need a 3D rendering program, such as Blender or similar. While I have done some editing in S3Ditor, most of that is above my pay grade and ~way~ above my skill level... :salute:
