Anyone seen the new Hunter Killer Movie?

I have not seen it yet but the trailer looks intriguing. Without giving any spoilers can someone who has seen it give their general impressions?

From what I've heard, its pretty theatrical. My guess is: it is propaganda showing Putin's plan to save Trump. I don't think the USN does that kind of thing. Now, maybe you should be checking out the movie "Kursk". I think its out this month, foreign made.

Fun movie

If it looks like a hollywood action film, that is correct.

I did genuinely enjoy the movie, for its quirks and its successes. The portrayal of submarine warfare here was a lot like the way World of Warships portrays WWII style naval engagements: arcade action, realistic models, and fun gameplay. It ain't Cold Waters, but I think if you've ever played Call of Duty (or any FPS game) you'd enjoy it.

I wouldn't say it's a GOOD movie, but for the most part I enjoyed it -- altho after about 45 minutes or so I started checking regularly to see how much was left. In many ways, the movie is kinda a mess. It feels kinda rushed.
It's definitely more of an action movie than a submarine movie, that's for sure. I'll likely never watch it again either. .. and this coming from someone who enjoys U-571 ;)

It's Hollywood action, but fun. I enjoyed it with a big tub of popcorn and a sexy woman at my side.
