Summertime or Wintertime

When reading in one of our thread written by Skybird, I thought

Lets make a poll to see where we fellow subsimmers stand in this question

Do you prefer Summertime ?

Or

Do you prefer Wintertime ?

Edit:
I can see I have made a little mistake Summer time is two words and so is Winter time

End of Edit

Wintertime.

I'm a quarter Swedish and sweat like the entire cast of Das Boot and Predator combined the minute it gets over 80.

Summertime, but only by a little bit. I used to joke that Utah has no spring or fall, but goes directly from summer to winter and back again. I grew up in Los Angeles, which is just the opposite. No winter, no summer, just spring and fall. Here in the desert it's always dry.

I like all seasons and their change.
However, climate change is becoming increasingly noticeable in Central Europe. We have had no winter in recent years and spring is felt to be over after a week.

Well - the "little" ice age, which has given us a stable weather for centuries, is finally over since this millennium.
It remains to be seen how everything develops... :hmmm:

But I think this is not the actual question @SailorSteve.
In Europe, the clock is presented in the summer by an hour deviating from the original time.

I agree, especially since he made reference to Skybird's post, but he didn't specifically mention "Clock Change", so I took him at his word, not his presumed meaning.

In reference to that question, we also have "Clock Change" here in the US, but we call it "Daylight Savings Time". And, like so many others, I hate it.

I just wanted to point that out...

Yes, the changeover to summer time is certainly quite annoying, but in the end, in my opinion, then the benefits outweigh.

Time to jig this thread up...Neither.

I'm a Spring Autumn guy and today is the first day of Autumn here. :)

Summertime, love the sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Ah I see I should have mentioned this

If you prefer +1 hour all year or not.

Winter

You can always wear more clothing in the winter

But in the summer, there is a limit to how much clothing you can remove and not be a threat to society and afearin the sheep.

But as one of my friends told me, "You don't have to shovel heat". :03:

I hate the summers in North Virginia.

Standard time all year. +1 hour? Never!

Which means what I voted for in the poll is the exact opposite of what I meant.

^ So everything at the beginning - it must be retuned... :o  :haha:

Winter

gives me an excuse to turn down all the lights, get a fire going in the fireplace, and enjoy a good scotch while recounting old stories with friends.

Plus, aircraft performance is better, and the air generally smoother :yeah:

Catfish 09-02-18 03:00 AM

@Mapuc do you mean the clock change, or whether s.o. prefers summer to winter? :hmmm:

If it is clock change, i prefer the real time where the sun is at its highest point, at 12:00, all the year.
Apart from that i certainly prefer summer to winter.. :03:
